THE OUTER LIMITS---movie underway based on the episode "Demon with a Glass Hand" which was written by Harlan Ellison and starred Robert Culp. The movie is being written by the SINISTER team of Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill. Derrickson will direct DOCTOR STRANGE.
ANT-MAN---a source said Corey Stoll (HOUSE OF CARDS) will play villain Darren Cross, and Patrick Wilson (INSIDIOUS) will play villain William Cross.
BETTER CALL SAUL---AMC released the first official photo from the BREAKING BAD spin-off series. The premiere has been delayed until 2016, but it was also renewed for Season 2.
MAGIC MIKE XXL---co-star Gabriel Iglesias said Matthew McConaughey probably won't return for the sequel, "Word has it Matthew is probably not going to be involved in this one. Because he's worth a lot of money...That whole Oscar thing, the nerve right?"
JASON BOURNE---a source said the fifth Bourne movie has been delayed by a year so Matt Damon can return as Jason Bourne. Justin Lin is the director, although Damon said earlier he wouldn't return unless Paul Greengrass also returned as director. THE BOURNE LEGACY starring Jeremy Renner made only $133 million which is half of Damon's THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM.
HYPERBARIC---movie underway about a cocaine-filled narco sub that is being pursued by the US Coast Guard. Roger Spottiswoode (TOMORROW NEVER DIES) is the director.
THE UNAUTHORIZED SAVED BY THE BELL STORY---photo released of the Lifetime tv movie that will reveal the sex and drugs use of the cast and, "expose the challenges of growing up under public scrutiny while trying to maintain a squeaky clean image of their characters on- and offscreen."
Lifetime also has a new series titled THE LOTTERY which is set in the post-apocalyptic future where women no longer give birth to children. A lottery is held for 100 surrogates of fertilized embryos. Marley Shelton and J. August Richards star.
INTO THE WOODS---Steven Sondheim said the movie based on his musical will be be censored: Rapunzel is not killed, the Prince doesn't have sex with the baker's wife and the sexual metaphors between Little Red riding Hood and the Wolf are toned down. He added, "Disney said, we don't want Rapunzel to die, so we replotted it. I won't tell you what happens, but we wrote a new song to cover it." Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Chris Pine star.
