I would like to thank everyone who attended for making the Ennio Morricone Celebration...

...the most jammed packed...

...erudite...

...varied...

...well seasoned...

...youthful...

...hand clapping...

...ultra-cool...

...parties we have ever given. From beginning... to end...

...for fans...

...and aficionados alike.

Especially to hear Maestro Ennio Morricone's music everywhere from the mountains...

...to the prairies...

...to the oceans white with foam...

...AND the TVs...

...and even the bathroom.

All served up by our hardworking staff...

...and especially, presented by the Queen of cuisine...

...and her menu of delights...

...with a gatefold of wonders...

...and a large cast of caricatures...

So thanks to all of you!

The Good...

The Bad...

...and the photobombing ugly!

All except the imposter who tried to crash the party!

Great pictures Henry, looks like it was a good party! It's certainly an impressive collection of Morricone music and memorabilia you have. Nice menu too!

Brilliant stuff, Henry! Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a great consolation prize for the cancelled concerts.

Hey, can't you switch my picture from "VARIED" over to "YOUTHFUL"?

Oh, well.

Yes, it was a great party, as it always is Chez Stanny.

(But the bathroom was the only place you could really hear and enjoy the music.)

Thanks again!

Actually you are under "erudite", varied is the various Morricone photos and youthful is the almost unrecognizable Ennio photo.

Personally I would rather be erudite, if you are youthful and don't appreciate and know it what's the use?

The westerns on our "prairie" could be heard too, amazingly I have found people find the source of the music in the other places and continue to turn it down OR the conversation get's louder until the music becomes inaudible. I turned it up twice. Next time I will tape it down!

Thanks for coming!

Yes! Most of our guests had tickets and decided to come anyway, even from out of town. Ironically you can see LALive from my back yard, which is where the Nokia Theater is, and where he was supposed to perform.

Thank you Edda-88 (one of the vital members of the Morricone board)!

Just like after my Elmer Bernstein party, as I put this memorabilia away I realize what an endless array of stuff I have on these guys. That is because, unlike most composers, they treated music like life itself and were privileged enough to go in all different directions with it. I keep finding things I didn't get out there for the party. In video alone I would have run Ennio's historic United Nations concert, talk about separating himself from the pack.

And I found footage from the Fabriano Party of 1985 celebrating 20 years of GM Records. This would otherwise be boring home movies except the fellows hanging around the back yard, talking, eating and playing with their kids are Armando Trovajoli, Luis Bacalov, Piero Piccioni and Ennio Morricone drinking a toast to the label they created together. They also each got their own cake with their names on them, to divvy out.

I also found footage from an Italian variety program where Morricone was a guest and I got a sense he could have had a Henry Mancini type career, his song "Se telefonando" (among others) was a major hit for Italian songstress Mina in the 60s. Yet judging from Mancini's one complaint, being typecast, he did the right thing turning his back on that part of his career.
