I think my 2014 has been -- thus far -- my year of Tangerine! I had been a casual fan for a number of years after finding Sorcerer and Thief on vinyl for relatively cheap at a used shop. What great albums! Since re-visiting many of the films they've scored (including the masterpieces that accompany those great soundtracks) I've grown and grown as a fan up through their triumphant "mainstream" return with their soundtrack to the excellent video game Grand Theft Auto 5.

My hope is to form this thread with our favorite soundtrack cues by the band, for newcomers to search out and discover all the best from these groundbreaking musicians. Here, we can listen and discuss our interests in their music.

My first entry is for the idyllic and casual "On the Spur of the Moment" from the late 80s cult Sci-Fi flick Miracle Mile. I'm still fairly new to this score, but I have been enamored with many of the tracks. This one highlights Froese and company's cool style and gives me very positive emotions.

I'm sorry to say not a big fan of Tangerine Dream but one of my childhood favourite movies is THE PARK IS MINE.
Love what TD brought to this Movie.

Thanks for you contributions Freejack and First Breath!

Mr. Breath, I'm a GIGANTIC fan of Three O'Clock High (both the movie and the incredibly fun score). Thank you for kicking us off with that great track, which would be my own contribution to this thread from that score. That said, I'll pick this one as an ideal track off of that release (including some of those killer guitar riffs)...

Pretty much every track from THE KEEP, but especially "Silver Crosses" and the cue when Ian McKellan is walking the talisman out of the cavern.

For reference from LeHah's post, and also serving good reason to complain once more about the improper release which The Keep's score has received. On YouTube, one can discover and listen to the track "Silver Crosses" which Mr. LeHah refers to above. And one can also find this track elsewhere with the right keystroke combination into a search engine. unfortunately, mastered to perfection and available on disc or vinyl? Forget about it!

I do enjoy a number of tracks available on TDI release, especially the haunting "The Silver Seal" (go figure with the track name, being you'd think this had to do with the silver crosses). I'm hoping that someday, maybe during these current Eastgate days when it seems TD is having a better time with releasing material, whoever holds over the rights to the proper music and mixes will relinquish their iron fist so that fans can have their cake and eat it too.

My least favorite score by TD must be the hurried and rather limp replacement score for Ridley Scott's Legend. Jerry Goldsmith's score, available on CD and to watch alongside the international "director's cut" version of the film? A fucking masterpiece and it really heightens that strange little movie that time tries again and again to forget. I just can't get behind Tangerine Dream's score though. However, "Unicorn Theme" just might be one of their best tracks, and I wish it had better company to share with on an album.

Well, that track is entirely on 'Logos'

My fave is also from 'The Keep', it's when Glaeken takes the boat from the Greek coast to Romania. A track which was already released, albeit in a different version as a B-Side to a 'Tatort' single. The track is named 'Moorland'

Proof once again that the trio of Froese-Franke-Schmoelling had the best overall sonic palette.

This track, known as "Remote Viewing" on Exit, was specially remixed for Wavelength.

Miracle Mile (1989). A fantastically bleak Apocalypse movie with one of TD's best scores ever.
