A second variation restores these two, but then omits the instrumental versions of "Windmills" and "His Eyes, Her Eyes."
I am curious if any European versions of the album included all 13 tracks; or if one 11-track lineup was originally programmed for a European release and another for the US.
Both versions of the US LP (appropriately) end with "The Crowning Touch." I am perplexed by the track order on both the Rykodisc and new expanded release that deviates from this order. I wonder if the 13-track version was released on LP anywhere, and the CD releases follow this sequence.

Obviously, UAS 5182 omits the two score tracks mentioned above in favor of instrumental versions of the two main themes. What is the catalog number of the other pressing? Was it available in the US at all?

Both were available in the US. The version with the instrumental versions of the hits is more common, but I have seen US pressings with "Doubting Thomas" and "Moments of Love."
The instrumental versions of "His Eyes, Her Eyes" and "Windmills" share the same backings as the vocal versions. I wonder if UA in the US specifically requested instrumental versions of those two tunes, and in the interest of saving time, fashioned instrumentals using existing backings.

I don't have a definitive answer, but I have seen 70s pressings, with the UA tan and brown label, including the two score tracks.
The LP with the two instrumental hits is much more common, and I have seen pressings from the 1960s to the 1980s using the hits.
EDIT: Who knows if the wrong covers and even labels were used along the way with various pressings?
