(the episode involving Giordano Bruno, for example, is factually inaccurate no matter how closely it aligns with MacFarlane’s ideology).

What ideology? And how is it factually inaccurate?

Winter's Tale - The film reminded me of HULK, in that it told its story with the utmost seriousness, thus making the underlying goofiness all the more pronounced.

The Grand Budapest Hotel - Interesting how many reviews omit any mention of the (wholly unnecessary) violence in the film. Imagine if, while watching a Lubitsch movie, you saw Franklin Pangborn get his fingers cut off while he was running from Rondo Hatton.
