Re: Moebius- Yeah I forgot to mention this. A couple of things to consider-
(1) It's EST time zone. So only a few hours to go. (2) Moebius site sells it's kits at it's retail price. So they are $10 or $15 dollars higher than Cultman or MegaHobby who discount them a little. (3) Shipping rates are really high. Though they say once boxed the shipping costs might come down- or up. Won't know until its ready to ship.
All that considered one is not quite getting 50% off. I did take advantage of the sale all the same. I might have gotten $10 dollars off per kit.
Back in junior-high art class I made an 8 foot replica out of cardboard tubing, chicken wire and papier-mâché. I wish I could remember what happened to it. (Theoretically, I was stupid enough to have tried putting it in the water. That could have been it.)
I guess toys and models are for the elite class nowadays. These prices are ridiculous, and it's not like their made of precious stones and metals forged by the finest craftsman.
