I've been listening to the CD several times since yesterday, and just want to say this score is absolutely wonderful! It's a long album and is very enjoyable.
This could be categorized as the most "traditional" Alberto Iglesias score ever. Not only we have hints of pseudo-Rozsa fanfares and choruses, plus some quasi-Goldsmith action rhythms, but also the melodic western interpretation of eastern sonorities in the vein of Stargate.
The booklet reveals that this time Iglesias has used a huge team, including orchestrator extraordinaire Nicholas Dodd and the always reliable London orchestra, to great result. I feel it as a more "classical" score than we're used to hear from Ridley Scott's other recent productions.
