The funny thing about this is that Tiomkin provided a song for the film ("Pretty Little Girl in the Yellow Dress"). Does this mean that Tiomkin was originally intended to score the film but had to bow out after providing the song?
At any rate the film did indeed luck out by getting Ernest Gold to handle scoring duties.
I was initially disappointed in the film, as there was little music in the beginning. (And the main title was a little "episodic", so Gold's style barely got heard)
Later in the film, more sequences have music. Yay!
