Having read (and enjoyed) the books and the comics, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Not gonna lie, I didn't notice too much Djawadi music other than a bit of piano and tense strings here and there, but I'm sure it will only improve. The pilot gets better as it goes...still some creaky writing here and there, but overall it works ( for me at least ). It is a relief to have a vampire series NOT featuring teen emo vampires or vampires having sex, to see the series set up to be an actual horror tale. The score isn't given much time to shine in the first episode. During the first big vampire kill, there is a nice gothic sounding cue, but mostly the score plays low key - tension, synths, percussion. There was a nice main theme at the end titles. Promising so far though.
