Why aren't there any Bikini Movies filmed in Cornwall, Weymouth, or Brighton?

I don't know why there aren't any Bikini Movies filmed in Cornwall, Weymouth, or Brighton.
All I know is that in Hertfordshire, Herefordshire and Hampshire, hurricanes hardly ever happen and that the rain in Spain is mainly in the plain.

In this country, it don't matter if you do or if you don't. It's still english one way or the other. If you say, "that hurts," for instance, you could still say "that urts," and it wouldn't urt one bit.

What is TP and DP supposed to mean, Alfachrger?

Blue Crush 2 (2011) is about girlfriends facing their fears and emulating their deceased moms by surfing the big waves in South Africa. The girls look great but there isn't enough beach action to hold my interest. The angst is tiresome and overwrought. Stick with the first Blue Crush it tells the same story with more chutzpah.

By the far the most intelligent and sophisticated beach film I've seen is Christopher Frank's The Year of the Jellyfish aka L'année des méduses (France, 1984) starring Valerie Kaprisky in a coming-of-age story about a teenage girl whose failure to attract her mother's ex-lover prompts her to try out her sexuality for the first time on others. Eventually she realizes she has pushed too far and retreats back to her parents, but she decides to make one last try. Caroline Cellier won a best supporting actress award in France as the mother who's been there and done that already. It's a character driven piece, and it's daring for reasons other than nudity. If the film had been made in the USA, the female lead would be a victim who was abused in her past and becomes a heroine in the course of the story. In other words, formula. But there's no agenda here. The teenager is allowed conflicting motives and her behavior is not always virtuous. She may even be a bad seed. The nightclubs rock, the sunshine sparkles, the water is blue, the people are beautiful, and the bikini wearing is limited to bottoms only on the beaches of St. Tropez.
