If you love the Blues/Bluesy Rock with a British/Irish flavor, you must give Joe Bonamassa a listen. He is a master guitarist with a wonderful voice. His fingers race up and down the fretboard in a blur. He has been a favorite of ours for quite awhile. Highly recommend.

I'm familiar with Joe Bonamassa from his 'Live from the Royal Albert Hall' concert DVD. He truly is a great blues guitarist, has some really good songs, with a unique and smooth soulful voice.

I found it quite interesting in an interview when he (American) describes his blues influences as being British... with Eric Clapton being a notable example.

I am glad you mentioned this. I recall a video where he plays with Clapton at Royal Albert Hall in 2009. It is probably from the same dvd you referred to. He actually indicates that Clapton influenced his desire to play guitar and ultimately his style. During his interviews, he comes off as a really down to earth and humble guy.

Thanks.

He does some great music for sure. I enjoy some of what I have heard. We could use more blues rock these days.
