I have around 250 un-built model kits from the 50's to the 2000's. Mostly classic monsters, real life, dinosaurs, sci fi, figures and fantasy. A few planes.

I generally open the boxes to inspect the contents.

I did the monsters.

I did the Dracula - glow in the dark. But man it looked poorly. Not my skill set.

Years later, I realize what I loved were the illustrations, and that's where my mind has been ever since.

I did some battleships in my youth. Not sure what company put them out. Anyway, I wasn't very skillful at putting them together; I used too much Testors glue or got the pieces on crooked, etc. It was frustrating, because I really liked plastic models, but didn't have the talent/skill....

Yeah.
Every time I finished a kit I would look at the.box and say "" why doesn't it look like that?"

Stuff like fighter jets came out.much better!
