According to filmmusicreporter in Film Scoring Assignments, Daniel Pemberton has been hired to score the upcoming film adaptation of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The film is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer as Solo and Illya. The spy action comedy is based on the 1960 television series that starred Robert Vaughn and David McCallum. In this "origin" story the two spies, one American and one Russian, team up on a mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization that has developed and initiated a plot to subjugate the world. Pemberton’s previous scoring credits include Ridley Scott’s The Counselor, the horror thriller The Awakening, this year’s comedy Cuban Fury and the British comedy series Peep Show. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is set to be released on January 16, 2015 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
