Maleficio, Dan The Man and others. Months ago I decided to try Crimes Of The Heart, and after awhile I realized Delerue is the Real Deal! Since then I've bought 20 more scores, and many of them are really special. Now I'm pursuing some of the rare and expensive. I am considering buying 3 from the following list (Would like to know which of the following are essential?): Silkwood House on Carroll Street Women In Love A Summer Story Promise At Dawn Curley Sue Joe vs The Volcano Also I noticed Music Box has a number of scores with French titles. Which of those are essential? Kudos to Maleficio and Dan The Man for helping me see the Light on Delerue. What a voyage of discovery to go on! Top tier Delerue. I'm sure you already have them, but if you don't, the 3 volumes of London Sessions that Varese put out are perfect samplers of his scores (and for me, have 10 minute suites from Agnes Of God and True Confessions that render the full soundtracks as not needed). There is also a French collection (6 discs I think) that has some great stuff on there for a good price (I give you good price)    Posted:   Jul 18, 2014 - 1:10 PM     By:   Morricone   (Member) Any of the Francois Truffaut scores (JULES ET JIM, TWO ENGLISH GIRLS), they seem to be the wellspring for lots of his inspiration. For instance his Oscar nominated score DAY OF THE DOLPHIN has a fanfare inspired by the one in DAY FOR NIGHT. The Delerue album focused exclusively on his Truffaut scores and is a wonderful collection.
