For my questions, I try to go off the beaten path from the generic composer interview questions and answers.
1) What was a cue that you put your heart and soul into, but for whatever reason just did not end up in the film at all? 2) When was the first time that you were watching a movie scored by another composer and you heard references made to your own scores/general style, how did you feel? 3) During the recording stage, do you ever think about whether the professional studio musicians are enjoying your music? How do you tell?
1) What exactly are your work habits? Specific hours in which you work? Do you work every day?About how much music do you complete a day? 2) What is—not your favorite score—but one in which when you were done you knew that you had "nailed it?" 3) As an artist myself, I can attest to the fact that in art, "happy accidents" sometimes happen. What are some of your favorites in your own work? How did they come about?
