Don't be misled by the Vols. 1-6 thing on iTunes. They've simply taken the individual discs of LLL's Vol. 1 (2 CDs) and Vol. 2 (4 CDs) and retitled each CD as its own "Volume." As far as I can tell, there is no new content on these digital editions.

The original series from the 60s will be released on november.
A release with the music from them is possible?
Or the license is the obstacle as was for the series come to DVD/Blu-ray?

Great news on Volume 3. I can't wait.
I also saw the releases on iTunes and was wondering if the tracks were already released on Vol 1 and 2. Good to know. I'll be waiting on Vol 3 from LLL.

Actually this is good to know. I had to pass on the physical CD's, this makes it manageable and the sets can be purchased over time at a reasonable price.

Hope volume 3 keeps up the trend of representing a different B:TAS character on each individual piece of disc art. That was a nice touch with the first two volumes, and it gives a sense of continuity across LLL's series of releases.

Looking forward to getting this!

My most anticipated release of the year!! (Batman TAS Vol.3)

Assault on Arkham will be an instant buy as well. I really liked Kral's work on the other DC animation score's (like Superman Doomsday) and Whedon's Angel.

I can't wait until we get to Vol.4 (or Vol.5??) with the restyled New Batman Adventures/Gotham Knights episodes. I loved Walker's music from episodes like "Double Talk" (that flute melody), "Never Fear" (Scarecrow's scary new theme, which sounds like nothing Walker had written before on BTAS), "You Scratch My Back" (Nightwing's Theme)....and many more.

The digital Watertower releases include the tracks that were omitted from the second printing of LLL'S BTAS Vol 1 - "Gotham City Overture" and "Music of the Bat 101" - in case you were late the game and covet those tracks.

Great! That's why I didn't pick up the second edition of vol 1. Same reason I didn't pick up BSG TOS vol 3&4 since I missed out on vol. 2. For the money invested I want the complete collection(s) or I'll pass.

If I'm not mistaken "Gotham City Overture" are just various themes (from certain episodes/scores) edited together into a suite. And "Music Of The Bat" is just an interview with Walker taken from one of the B:TAS dvds. So I'm not losing any sleep with those two tracks missing.
