The songs are better than I remembered with a certain Sherman Brothers flare. The film always left me cold. It couldn't have started with a more obnoxious song, "The Happiest Home in These Hills" and the performers completely over acted during the entire production. However on disc there are many outstanding cues. "Main Title" is nothing short of magnificent, and the songs, "I Saw a Dragon", "It's Not Easy", "Candle on the Water", "There's Room for Everyone", and "Brazzle Dazzle Day" are stand outs. The others have their strengths and weaknesses. I think the weaker songs tainted my early opinions, but over all the songs have grown on me and Helen Reddy is an angel singing. Sadly there is no score on the CD other than the "Main Title", so this could benefit from an expanded edition.

Bill of Sale is also a terrific number. I'd love to see an Intrada expansion.
