It was never released commercially. What you heard was either a promo disc, (If that exists) or an unmentionable. Fun little score. Hope Intrada releases it someday. One of David Newman's worst temp track jobs. Bummer.

years ago i heard a soundtrack to the first mighty ducks film, a kind of synthy, of the time type affair with samples and vocal triggers, i got it from a friend on loan and it was a legitimate release on cd, but not the one that has lots of various artists on it, this was all one composer but attempts to track it down have proved fruitless, its like i imagined it, if anyone has heard or knows anything about it lemme know, it had around 10 tracks and was pretty good i rememember. There never was an "official" promo CD but there were many CDRs that Newman sent out. I love the score. The temp job is obvious but Newman managed to create a wonderful original score based on the obvious temp suggestions. The powerful MAIN TITLE based on GRAND CANYON and the energetic PLAYOFF MONTAGE based on ROBIN HOOD are simply terrific, moving and creative pieces. Please INTRADA release MIGHTY DUCKS.
