I know the score has been reviewed many times but for those of you who are interested in the track chronology as used in the film: http://www.jwfan.com/?p=4032
Damien’s (OmenII) excellent review and track list is 3 years old now but I only found it recently and had not seen it referenced here before.
The film uses the tracks in this order pertinent to the LP/CD: 1, 11, 12, 2, 9, 5, 10, 8, 6, 3, 13, 4, 7
I set mine up for that sequence and it holds up surprisingly well even tho I’ve been listening to it as published for 40 years now with the exception of having track 7 at the end to duplicate its use in the film.

I thought Frances also did an excellent job with a track arrangement for enhanced listening pleasure: http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=53868&forumID=1&archive=0

Thank you Jack. Later Eastwood's movies lost some of that early gusto, he later went for a light layer of music mayonnaise over his movies the past 10 years or so. Nothing terribly memorable about those scores.

My pleasure! As far as I know Eastwood and Williams never collaborated on a film after Eiger, did they?

thanks for the revised track list. Maybe it will sound less like a re-recording in original film order.
