Lukas, in between your work on the Tantalus field, could you please write a program that will prevent the word "New" from appearing in all new thread titles? That would really help clear up this problem. Granted we'll have to put up with the odd "Star Wars: A Hope" or "Thomas man to score sies remake!" thread, but that's a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Sacré bleu! Just noticed you made the same joke on the last page, Francis. We must have great minds. I like the sound of Gsmith. Maybe that's his gangsta name in an alternate universe.

Wow, I really set something off here. No seriously, I stand by the request. "New" is an indeterminate measure of time, only relevant to the period of time in which it is originally spoken / written. It's useless in a forum like this where threads are sorted based on most recent activity, and can appear in virtually any order. Since we're in an age of so many releases, expansions, re-expansions, and re-releases, things can get confusing quickly... For a title like, oh say, THE BLUE MAX... well, it seems that almost every label has put out their own version of it at this point, and the word "new" isn't terribly helpful unless you're already an expert on which release is which. Same with the Poledouris Conan scores... Same with Predator, which the Varese Club has done once and Intrada has done _twice_. Same with something like the two Giacchino Star Trek scores: which have each been released in two different editions now, all from the same label, and only a year after their original releases! It's not unthinkable to believe that there's a "new" version of a recent title that might be coming out, and I don't believe we should have to click on and read each thread in order to understand what's happening, you know? I always thought that the point of a subject line in a forum like this is to accurately give the reader an idea of the topic that's going to be discussed therein. And that's the point of posting in a forum in the first place, right? You've got a topic you want to talk about, and you want other people to understand what you mean and to respond?

The main problem is that the forum thread listing doesn't show thread start date.
