I'm a little confused. Looks like the score for Ostwind 3 with a bonus track from Ostwind 2? How come no separate score release for 2?
Yes, the tracklisting split in 2 CDs @ Amazon is wrong but on the other side the product information above "Anzahl Disks/Tonträger: 1" (= number of disks: 1) is correct. It will definitely be a 1-CD with the score to Ostwind 3 and as bonus-track a suite from Ostwind 2.
Just playing OSTWIND 3 and what A SCORE! Easily one of my favorites this year, which can't be recommended highly enough! Can't stop playing the final two tracks and the rest is just as brilliant (as always with Annette F.).
Hopefully release of THE CHINESE WIDOW will be announced soon as well!
Been trying to fill in some Focks gaps in my collection.
The real takeaways from these sets are LIEBESWUNSCH and DIE KIRSCHENKÖNIGIN. Alas, Focks was never very good at curating her soundtracks; she just jams every note on there, filling CDs to the brink. That rarely allows for great listening, so one always needs to be prepared to playlist the heck out of it. Thankfully, LIEBESWUNSCH is fairly good as is, but DIE KIRSCHENKÖNIGIN I had to whittle down to 44 minutes. It's a beautiful, but dreary war score, so better served in reasonable doses.
