It's rumoured to be coming out on the Perseverance Records label, possibly with Copelands part 2 and Robinson's part 3. Last I heard Robin was trying to get dates sorted with Brian May of Queen to discuss (possible Queen music?) but that was the end of last year. Although Perseverance do keep touting a holy grail is getting nearer to completion....

And if the sound quality is near to that of 'Rain Man' and 'Red Sonja', i think i'll pass ! Wasn't Queen's 'Don't Lose Your Head' instrumental in the movie, it has been a long time since i've seen it. What would really interest me is a 'Flash Gordon' proper soundtrack, with Howard Blake's and Queen's score tracks, without dialogue.

The New York New York cover by Queen is not a full song. They only recorded what you hear on screen. Supposedly, it's going to be on the upcoming release.

Picked up the BluRay of this recently from Amazon for pennies. Really good presentation.

It's Kamen's work in it that is strongly wanted. I hope whatever Perseverance edition might be forthcoming is not just a clone of the Edel edition. I agree. But I have a sinking feeling that, knowing Perseverance, it will just be the Edel CD program with Queen songs added. While I wouldn't mind having the film version of "Who Wants To Live Forever (with the more orchestral middle section), more of Kamen's score cues are what I want the most.

Wasn't Queen's 'Don't Lose Your Head' instrumental in the movie, it has been a long time since i've seen it. I think you're right. And I think it's that same piece that morphs into the "New York" bit. Didn't that track form part of the B-Side to A Kind of Magic; "A Dozen Red Roses for My Love"?

I think there would be lynchings from nearby trees if they just duplicated the 20 minutes from the Edel release. I trust and suspect Perseverance know what we want and will deliver...in time (thank you Regan).

Didn't that track form part of the B-Side to A Kind of Magic; "A Dozen Red Roses for My Love"? You're right. I keep forgetting that. It's essentially the same recording as "Don't Lose Your Head", but with some differences in the mix. It seems to me that "A Dozen Red Roses" is closer to that which appears in the film. You're right, with added syth car horn sounds dopplering as the Kurgan drives.
