The Demy set is wonderful, and I'm thrilled to have it. My only slight disappointment is that the audio on "Young Girls" does not appear to be as clean or sharp as it is on the 2-CD set (Philips 558 408-2). In fact, I had to use headphones just to verify that the Blu-ray was even in stereo. It is, although the separation is very minimal, whereas the CD has a much wider stereo field and sounds fantastic. Not sure what elements were used for the Blu-ray. Minor quibble. It's great to have these films beautifully presented.

"HERZOG: THE COLLECTION, meanwhile, is one of Shout Factory’s most ambitious and satisfying releases in the format to date."

This set apparently contains the same Herzog titles that were issued on DVD by the Anchor Bay label about a dozen years ago.

Does anybody know if Shout Factory is the successor/inheritor of the prior Anchor Bay catalogue?

Most of the audio commentary tracks (the ones with Norman Hill) were probably done between 1999 and 2001 or thereabouts.
