I'm sure at some time or other, you've gone through S.A.E's 'Out of Print, Rare, and Used Bin'? It can easily take me a good hour to go through all the pages of listings. However almost every time I go through their listings, I almost always find something of interest. Something I had no idea I wanted until I spied it listed with a usually excellent price attached. I've found Pino Donaggio's 'Home Movies', Velazquez's 'Devil' and today the postman just dropped off that long vertical book holding 2-discs of Max Steiner's original score conducted by himself for 'Gone With The Wind', it was put out by Rhino in 1996 and out of print since. I paid LESS than the price when it was new, and it looks absolutely Mint! No, S.A.E. isn't paying me to say this, I'm just really happy to find something I've been looking for for a long time. Since used record stores are pretty much a thing of the past, in a way, this section at S.A.E. is like pawing through the used bin at Footlight Records - not looking for anything in particular until, pow - discovery!

I haven't really thought of looking at the used bin, but I have in the past refreshed the homepage over and over so I can see what randomly shows up on top of the page. I found some interesting scores that way.
