Chris didn't score the first SHARKNADO - but word has it that Lakeshore will release both SHARKNADO and SHARKNADO 2 scores in September! Oh...well I swore he had something to do with the first one. I must be thinking of something else. Hopefully CDs..but knowing Lakeshore it will be Digital only.
Just a question: why don't they take all the budgets wasted on stuff like Sharknado 1&2, Crocodogs, Alligahorses, Weaselgators and all those other crap quickies which blend two animal strains together to horrifying effect and just make a good movie with it?

IMO, Sharknado and Sharknado 2 aree better than some of the higher budget films coming out of Hollywood.

So why John Williams wasn't asked to score at least Sharknado 1? Imagine one hell of his famous ritardandos when some poor guy getting it hard on the floor and eventually a shark falling from the sky ends his misery.
Sure, snobbish Williams was asked at least a hundred times to do it!

I had the great honor of meeting Mr Williams back in March - You have no idea how tempted I was to ask (jokingly) if he would like to contribute to the score, but was pretty much speechless in his presence.

The budget probably did not even allow a phone call to JW,. I'm not sure what that has do with the relative entertainment value of the film vs higher budgeted productions.

Welcome to the board, Chris, nice story! I really dig your 'Land That Time Forgot' fantasy compilation CD, some terrific writing in there, looking forward to hearing more!
"Sharknado" was one of the most entertaining movies of 2013....sequel was undoubtedly one of the highlights of 2014....says a lot about the Hollywood Machine...thank him for being involved!
