I was perusing the film scores of Georges Delerue the other day and came upon The Last Metro. I recall seeing this movie in an artsy theater back in the early 80s and remembered how much I enjoyed it. Film music was not a keen interest of mine back then. I watched some clips on YouTube and now am very anxious to see it again. It is a Truffaut film with a wonderful cast including Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu. Funny how looking for one thing brings you full circle.

This is one of my favorite Delerue themes, though as I recall much of the score consists of repetitions of that theme. Worth tracking down just for the theme, however.
