Was just re-watching STAR TREK III: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK, which incidentally has become one of my favorites of the Original Cast Features. I was intrigued how in all the scenes with Commander Kruge (Christopher Lloyd) and the two main featured Klingons, they always referred to him as "Lord". It all seemed quite fitting in their delivery and very cool and even Shakespearean. And then I thought, I had never heard of another Klingon in any incarnation, be it Film or TV where a Klingon was referred to as a Lord.
Memory Alpha's bio of Commander Kruge lists that he is indeed a Klingon War Lord and that that term was never used again for a Klingon in Star Trek. Anyone else ever wonder about it?

I just watched "The Search for Spock" a few days ago myself, and I found it to be quite good, just as I remembered it. I never understood the "The odd-numbered ones aren't any good" theory that many Trek fans so lazily recite.
Kruge is definitely one of the more memorable antagonists of the film franchise. He clearly has a long term goal he's been working towards even before this movie. The The first three quarters of this film is pretty much one giant build up to a Kirk and Kruge face off and it's not because one has a vendetta against the other. Once the two meet, everything changes.
I think the picture looks pretty good, the camera work, production design and effects are pretty excellent considering the very limited budget that Nimoy had to work with. Charles Correll talks on the extras about wanting to shoot on Hawaii for Genesis and that would have been great, but they did not have money for that. Charles Correll shot the picture beautifully, I thought it was intimate and grand when necessary. Unfortunately Correll passed away 10 years ago.
