MINORITY REPORT---tv series underway from Steven Spielberg based on his 2002 movie that starred Tom Cruise. A "name" star is being sought for the lead role. The script is by Max Borenstein (GODZILLA). The movie was based on Philip K. Dick's short story.
THE DESTROYER---Shane Black (IRON MAN 3) will direct the Sony Pictures movie based on the novels featuring secret agent Remo Williams and Chiun, his mystical Asian assassin cohort. James Mullany, novel co-author, and Jim Uhls (FIGHT CLUB) will write the script. REMO WILLIAMS: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS was a 1985 movie based on the novel series and starred Fred Ward, Joel Grey, Kate Mulgrew and Wilford Brimley.
FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM---David Yates (HARRY POTTER) will direct the spinoff movie based on the JK Rowling children's book. Rowling will write the script.
OUR BRAND IS CRISIS---Sandra Bullock will star in this comedy movie based on the documentary about US spin doctors involved in Bolivia's presidential election.
EXISTS---poster released for the found footage horror movie from Eduardo Sanchez (THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT) in which five friends vacationing in the Texas Big Thicket are stalked by a bloodthirsty Bigfoot.
DATING NAKED---contestant Jessie Nizewitz is suing the producers of the VH1 reality series for $10 million for not blurring her crotch while she participated in a nude wrestling scene with a male contestant. The New York model said, "Although I went on this show knowing that I would be nude while taping it, I was told that my private parts would be blurred for TV...Obviously, I did not expect the world to see my private parts, this is not what I anticipated or what any other contestants on the show anticipated." She added, "I felt lied to, manipulated and used...Everyone saw it."
ANT-MAN---Evangeline Lilly released a photo of her new look for the movie.
MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.---Brian Patrick Wade (GENERATION KILL, TEEN WOLF) will play Absorbing Man.
THE LIVING AND THE DEAD---new BBC America/BBC One paranormal series from the creators of LIFE ON MARS set in 1888 England in which a man seeks to prove there is life after death and encounters the supernatural.
JOHN WICK---movie underway starring Keanu Reeves, Bridget Moynahan, Willem Dafoe and Adrianne Palicki in which an ex-hitman is targeted by a hitman who is his friend.
BAD KIDS GO 2 HELL---the sequel is underway starring Sean Astin, his daughter Ali, and Gina Gershon.
THE RING 3---Aliva Goldsman is in negotiations to write the sequel script.
