A bit like the composer/director chain game, I (and maybe you) will post a quote from a film composer, about another film composer and you have to guess who said it and who it's about. You can give a clue or the name of the sayer, if it's not too much of a giveaway. Here's mine (the clue is it's two comments from each composer, about the other, on the same project)... "It's one of those tunes that's like (edit)...the first time you hear it, you've got it and you can listen to it 40 times without throwing up" "I saw a score lying on the piano and the intelligence of the organization of the notes - and the beauty of the manuscript - even before I could see much about what the music was like, I immediately knew this guy is a real composer" Have fun! First one: Bruce Broughton, re Rosenthal's theme for the tv series "Logan's Run" Second one: Laurence Rosenthal, re Bruce Broughton (From liner notes for FSM release of music from "Logan's Run" tv series) So what do I get? Does this make me an official "nerd"? I actually remembered reading those comments, especially the first, because I totally agreed with Broughton re the brilliance and versatility of Rosenthal's theme. This release is one of my all-time favorite tv score releases, a real gem!

Here's an easy one (director about composer)... "He just turned 30...Frightening" Easy indeed! That would be Douglass Trumbull talking about Jamie Horner (Brainstorm).
