BLADE RUNNER---Ridley Scott said the sequel script for BLADE RUNNER is finished, "It's written and it's damn good. Of course it involves Harrison [Ford], who is a survivor after all these years - despite the accident (referring to Ford's STAR WARS: EPISODE VII injury). So yes, that will happen."
Scott said he might direct the BLADE RUNNER sequel after directing THE MARTIAN starring Matt Damon, but he's not sure about directing the PROMETHEUS sequel, "That’s the problem, I've got a lot of ducks in a row. But they're all written." The BLADE RUNNER sequel was written by Hampton Fancher, who wrote the original movie, and Michael Green.

JURASSIC WORLD---director Colin Trevorrow released a photo tribute to Richard Attenborough which shows a statue of Attenborough's JURASSIC PARK character John Hammond on the set of JURASSIC WORLD.

DAMIEN---Lifetime ordered six episodes of this Glen Mazzara (THE WALKING DEAD) tv series based on the 1976 horror movie that starred Gregory Peck and Lee Remick. The series has an adult Damien Thorn as a "dark, romantic, anti-hero" who must cope with being the Antichrist.

GAME OF THRONES---a planned scene of nude Cersei Lannister walking out of a church is in doubt because the church in Dubrovnik, Croatia and the local film commission where the series is filming won't allow public nudity.

VACATION---reboot of the National Lampoon Vacation franchise is underway. Ed Helms (THE HANGOVER) will play an adult Rusty Griswold taking his family on vacation. Christina Applegate (MARRIED...WITH CHILDREN) will play Rusty's wife. Chris Hemsworth (THOR) will play Rusty's sister's husband. Charlie Day (IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA) will play a river rafting guide. Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo will have cameo appearances.

NCIS---Folkmanis Puppets, maker of the popular Bert the Farting Hippo used on the CBS tv series and sold by CBS, is suing CBS and others claiming the network is now selling Bert products made in China without permission from Folkmanis.

THE CELLAR---Mary Elizabeth Winstead (LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD) will co-star with John Goodman in this movie about a young woman who wakes up in a cellar with a man after a car accident. The man tells her they are the apparent sole survivors of a nuclear war.

SHUTTER ISLAND---HBO is developing a prequel tv series to the Martin Scorsese 2010 movie that starred Leonardo DiCaprio. The series is titled ASHECLIFFE and tells the story of the mental institution before the events of the movie. Scorsese will direct the pilot.

HAWKEYE---Jeremy Renner said Hawkeye might appear in CAPTAIN AMERICA 3, "There are rumblings of CAPTAIN AMERICA 3. I don't know what's going to happen there. I've got to find the time, man (laughs). I'm trying to stay home and I can't." Co-director Anthony Russo said, "Unfortunately we can't (comment). It's too specific to what the movie may be." Co-director Joe Russo added, "There are certainly characters that Cap is close to or has a strong relationship with that would make sense appearing in his films. I think that's all we can say about it."

PIVOT---sci fi movie underway in which a scientist develops a device which allows him to pivot into a parallel universe to be with his wife who was killed---but he has to kill his parallel self in order to do so. Ed Gass-Donnelly (THE LAST EXORCISM PART II) is the writer/director.

So you shoot the exterior plate, green screen Lannister and composite it in post production. Duh!

Is it all right to say I'm dreading this already for all the wrong reasons? (On the other hand, it surely can't be worse than Omen IV: The Awakening.)
