This may be of limited interest here as the film's music consists of well-curated song choices rather than instrumental underscore, but below is my film and music review of Boyhood. I do still recommend that people who are usually unfavorably disposed to song-tracks give this one a chance, as the film really does use music extremely effectively:
I'm very curious about this movie, as my colleagues have raved about it. I didn't get the time to see it at this year's The Norwegian International Film Festival last week, and it's not being distributed to regular cinemas in Norway, but there will be special screenings at the Cinemateque in Oslo this coming month.
