That's an understatement. Just look how a hurricane adversely effects a localize population for weeks, or months, sometimes years. No electricity, no food, no water. Imagine it country wide for years?
Total destruction of the economy and wealth. The millionaires and billionaires will just move to Switzerland or something. Mass death and disease. It would set the US into the stone age.
If an adversary cared to take it a step further (with their finger on the button) it would be the last nail in the coffin.
In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the majority population of the US became refugee's in Australia. Lots of undeveloped land there correct?
