When I was growing up, back in the 80s, here in Sydney Australia; I use to watch this show every Friday night, "The Golden Years Of Hollywood" – my love of movies started here; and I always loved the opening theme music.
I am fortunate enough that someone has actually put up the opening segment here on You Tube.

Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10VtIJFS4nU

All these years, I have always wondered about this music…. From which film did Presenter Bill Collins use this piece from? Pardon the pun, but I am dying to know! I really want to hear the complete version of this opening segment. Is it from a movie? A stage production? What is the title of this piece?

I am 99% certain that it wasn’t simply recorded for the opening segment itself?
The Golden Years Of Hollywood did use other opening music as well, but – this THEME – is so rich and memorable. Any ideas music lovers?

Which film is it from? Please go ahead, and take a look, it only lasts 42 seconds.
After 42 seconds the film that is getting screened (Sabrina) – will be the music you will hear, but I’m curious about those first 42 seconds!

Thanks a lot, it means a lot to me, I have been whistling that melody for at least 20 years – I am 37 now, and if I do finally find out – I simply cannot express enough satisfaction!

Sounds like 'That's Entertainment' composed by Arthur Schwartz.
