I don't know how I missed it (or if this had been posted back in December) but there is a newly-mastered 2 cd set of this great score available directly from Boswell's website. They are pressed cd's.

Disc one includes the complete score as heard in film with unreleased music and removes the dialog and sound effects from the previously release tracks.

Disc two is remaster of the original album, minus The Order Of Death, Stigmata, Stabat Mater.

It's pretty pricey for those in the US, but I am very happy with the release. Apparently he's gone through the Dust Devil tapes too for a future release. A new release of Stage Fright comes out on Oct. 1st.

Yeah, there was a thread way back. Nevermind though, Boswell is an underrated, very diverse composer that deserves a lot more attention!

For the same reason, these editions are very welcome.

As for myself, since I have all of these in their original versions (including two different editions of Dust Devil), I'd wish for some more unreleased stuff - like his many less known Italian films, or some of the quirky stuff for the many independent & arthous productions (like American Perfekt, The Sleeping Dictionary) or what he wrote for Stanely's documentaries (like Voice of the Moon). Or an OST of Hackers. Or his mystery score for Danny Boyle's Alien Love Triangle!

There's so much, let's hope the current releases sell well and he can do more.

I encourage everybody to seek out what's already available. For lovers of traditional orchestral scoring I very much recommend Photographing Fairies which is also available from his site I think. Also War Zone, what a beauty of a score!

I think I made a thread about this once.

I have a nostalgic relationship to the movie, but I don't remember much of the score beyond that song that has the refrain "this is what you want, this is what you get". Who was that again?

Glad to see it get released. I'll check out the samples asap to see if they awaken any memories.
