Found the soundtrack to the movie Nuts. Score by Barbra Streisand. First of all it is very short barely 13 minutes on the disc. Most of it consists of slow progressing chords accompanied by a pseudo melody on a piano. I think the best thing I can say about it is that its..........pleasant. I only paid 99 cents for it. Think I got my moneys worth.
Babs doesn't sing on it. Many may think that's a plus.
Has anyone else listened to it? Opinions?

Babs was too busy chewing the scenery to write a score AND a theme song. ??

If you don't care for it, sell it on Ebay, it brings bucks:

I sold my copy on eBay three years ago, for $25. I found the music impossibly dull.

Yeah, I got it when it came out. Nice collection filler, nothing else.

This is a tangent, but I caught part of this move on cable a few years back, and I had completely forgotten that Leslie freakin' Nielsen plays the customer who abuses her so violently during the film. NUTS came out only a year or two before the first NAKED GUN movie, meaning that Nielsen looks and talks about like he does in those movies... it's just impossible to take seriously in hindsight.

Check here for a comprehensive array of replies from this 2011 thread on the score. I believe my opinion (for what its worth) is about half-way down the page. Enjoy!

Nuts is a great score, soft and delicate. Can't believe it was actually written by Barbra! The great Jeremy Lubbock orchestrated and arranged it. I LOVE it!

NB: What's a "pseudo melody"?

Yer a lucky bugger. I've been on lookout for that CDEP for years.

If memory serves, she eventually had lyrics added to the main theme and it became "Two People".

Decent movie, but she tended to overact her bits. In my opinion, she does her best acting when she plays inward.

I guess the consensus regarding the NUTS score is that there are many open yawns* about it.
