Hello

Years ago intrada has released original score for north's 2001

It was made from mono tapes

anybody knows - only mono tapes of original score is exist?

no stereo recordings (tapes) were located ?

If it was done in stereo, they're gone. when Anvil Studios closed, they tossed the master tapes. Presumably the tapes Intrada used were the ones music engineer Eric Tomlinson rescued from Anvil.

I've not see na list of the scores he rescued, I just know from other online sources he rescued this one and the rejected and used scores to "Battle of Britain".

I thought they might have been from the (cassette dupe?) tape owned by North himself, and perhaps given to Goldsmith by the composer as a gift much later. I thought I read something that inferred as much in the past, but I'm not sure. Whatever, the Intrada sounds very good. Nice restoration job.

In the case of Battle of Britain, do stereo tracks exist for the two tracks that are inexplicably mono in the Goodwin section (someone mentioned they were like this on the original LP)?
