In the 1990s and early 2000s, there were a number of CD reissues of music from various libraries, including KPM, de Wolfe, Chappel, etc.

Have any producers ever looked into the possibility of box set of CBS library cues? Are there complications regarding rights, or how the library is organized? Would it be too daunting of a task? Would anyone (other than I) buy this?

people have wondered before about this - I think recently in a Twilight Zone thread - but there's at least 75 LPs (or reels) of the CBS EZ Cue library alone, and I'm sure there's other CBS libraries or LPs/reels. Granted you could fit 3 to a CD, but it's still alot of discs. I think a collection by composer would make sense, like the Herrmann stuff from Prometheus.

This collection is located at the UCLA Special Collections Library and from what I hear, it is STILL not in a proper inventory after all these years.

Our own Lukas, or Doug Fake from Intrada has more details and perhaps they could share some more info regarding this collection.
