THE SEA OF TREES---photo released from the movie starring Matthew McConaughey, Ken Watanabe and Naomi Watts in which an American man and a Japanese man encounter each other at a Mount Fuji forest infamous for suicides to end their lives. Gus Van Sant is the director.
JAMES BOND---a British entertainment magazine claims Rihanna (BATTLESHIP) will have a cameo in the 24th Bond movie, "Rihanna is a big fan of the Bond films and has always loved the idea of appearing in one. She didn’t even need to think about it, she knows she wants to do it. She’s really excited." It is not known if she will sing the movie theme song.
BIG---untitled Fox tv series remake underway that is "loosely based" on the 1988 movie that starred Tom Hanks, Elizabeth Perkins and Robert Loggia.
RUSH HOUR---tv series remake underway of the movie series that starred Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Bill Lawrence (SCRUBS) is the writer/co-producer.
ZOMBIELAND 2---Sony Pictures sequel underway with Ruben Fleischer returning as director. Dave Callaham (GODZILLA, THE EXPENDABLES) will write the script. It is not known if the original cast is returning.
GONE GIRL---Ben Affleck said he has a full-frontal nude scene in the David Fincher movie based on the novel, "There's some brief, ah, very brief nudity, I think. The penis is in there! It's IMAX penis! You've gotta pay fifteen bucks to see it in 3D... it's better in 3D."
KONG-KING OF THE APES---Netflix animated series underway from producer Avi Arad (SPIDER-MAN) which will air after a movie introduction. Set in 2050 San Francisco, King Kong has escaped from a game preserve on Alcatraz Island and teams up with three humans to battle a villain and his army of robotic dinosaurs. The 12 episodes will premiere in 2016.
THE ASTRONAUT WIVES CLUB---Yvette Strahovski (CHUCK, DEXTER) will play Rene Carpenter, wife of astronaut Scott Carpenter, in this ABC series about the wives of the Mercury astronauts.
MARVEL'S AGENT CARTER---Dominic Cooper is returning as Howard Stark.
MISTRESSES---Alyssa Milano announced she is leaving the ABC series, "After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of Mistresses in Vancouver, Canada, for financial reasons. It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can't relocate. I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just cannot uproot my children and separate the family by moving away." Also, Yvette Nicole brown won't return for the last season of COMMUNITY in order to take care of her ailing father.
THE CHOICE---Benjamin Walker (ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER) and Teresa Palmer (I AM NUMBER FOUR) star in this movie based on the novel.
TWILIGHT---the series will continue with five short films to be directed by five aspiring female directors who will be picked by a panel of female judges.
TETRIS---live-action movie underway based on the 1984 video game.
