Yep, some of us were pondering this, here:

http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=71370&forumID=1&archive=0

if this is a good thing or what. And deciding who pulls the $10 trigger first on the Tourist
Trap download. Most of us are in the 'bring on the CD!' camp it seems, myself included.

As far as unreleased music from Charles Band productions are concerned, "Trancers," "Dolls," and "Ghoulies II" would be great candidates. There are also several scores composed for his Moonbeam line in the '90s that are unreleased in any form.

Finally, there's Richard Band's "TerrorVision" score, which had an LP release in the '80s and is the only key '80s Richard Band that Intrada hasn't tackled.

Oooooh...definitely interested in Tourist Trap (already have Bad Channels). Any word if it's a CD-R or pressed disc?

That's what I want to know about Tourist Trap. I don't care if it is a CDR or has no notes. I am only concerned as to whether this is directly from album tapes in good condition and not a simple vinyl transfer.

Ordered!
Been waiting 25 years for this moment!

All four score albums featured on the Varese Symphonic Suites CD have now been fully reissued on CD!

*cracks ordering knuckles* I'm going in boys, the hell with it! I can't imagine this would
be some shady CDR LP transfer with a blank page - I'm not expecting an FSM worthy deluxe
treatment, but at $10, c'mon - it's worth the risk.

Just heard back. Pressed disc, not CD-R. Audio transferred from a DAT since masters are lost. Original source used for DAT unknown.

Thanks for the intel Josh - will let y'all know more details on Thursday when this Trap lands
at the hacienda.....

Incidentally, when I ordered this morning, Amazon showed 11 copies left. Not sure how much
stock to put into that, as far as what limited means in this case.

The mind wobbles.....

Son of a hairless sasquatch. I just signed up for Amazon Prime so I could get free two-day shipping on the Tourist Trap CD only to return to the product page and find it out of stock. Awesome!

It looks like this is readily available from Full Moon's own website.

Yep, but they charge $5.60 for shipping within the US, which is more than half of the cost of the CD itself. I hope amazon gets more copies in stock soon.

I placed my Amazon order with 2 other items.
Received an update that those items have shipped while TOURIST TRAP is estimated to ship by 10NOV14.

Masters are lost?
The original session masters or the album masters?

A pristine copy of the old Varese LP should yield a fine transfer (in the right hands).

It'll be a happy Thanksgiving, anyway!! wink
