I don't care, Bill, I'm game, especially for the generous offer of a Fielding not yet in my collection...!

I wish I could quit you, DavidinBerkeley!

My choice (which you may already have inferred) would be Gray Lady Down.

I have both score CD's already, (and they're both great, albeit VERY different...from the lovely themes of Sophie's Choice to the churning urgency of Fielding) but it's a fine and generous offer David.
I salute you!

(and Bill, that made me laugh)

tg - i worry about your soul !! i think you would too easily fold under questionning.
if DiB was a nazi spy passing out Grey lady down to you - a score id love incidentally - i think the germans woulda been waiting for us in normandy and the whole Greece red herring wouldnt have worked.

Frankly i think you would grass your grandmother up for a fat pile of cash and a tense underwater Fielding adventure missing from your collection ??!!

Dave - imagine what he would agree to do for a rare Morricone???!!!
the thread would be closed down ha ha.

me on the other hand? iam made of sterner stuff. With my stiff upper lip, my blitz spirit and my Bulldog breed, could never ever stray into any uncomfortable gay overtones, not for pride, country, honour, or to protect the lives of thousa...

Grey lady down you say?

ahem. Stands against the wall. i wish i could quit you DiB.
there i said it.

Not sure that Sophie's Choice would have been one of the carrots if that were his motive.

Winner email is now sent.

Keep hold of your tickets and don't erase your email address from your profile, though, Kendalloids, because if I get no reply by the time above, the 2nd runner up will have a chance.

Watch this space tomorrow. The 2nd runner up have a deadline, too, as I want to be done with this before Sunday, my birthday, when I will be hailing a pal, busting a gut and cutting a rug! smile

Ado came through with the goods.

GREY LADY DOWN is now in a mailer, waiting to go out the door.

Sophie now weeps at her treatment by yet more men, and waits in a pile to go to the cd store for trade.

Thank you to all who played "birthday giveaway" and for the birthday wishes.

Just played SOPHIE'S CHOICE today and the fact Dave couldn't even GIVE THIS CD AWAY a few months back beggars belief!!!
What is wrong with Film Music Fans??
The Main Theme alone is just gorgeous, but there are other themes within the score too.
Sure, it's a short CD (around 30 mins), but this is all quality over quantity!
Sad Times! frown
