So, the roundup of comics-based shows currently or recently on TV: The Walking Dead, Season 5 - didn't watch, the show lost me early season 2 Arrow, Season 3 - not really invested, the show has lost its edge, mostly I'm inching through it for the Flash crossover The Flash, Season 1 - often a lot of fun, but not great. Seems to be heating up though. Gotham, Season 1 - Lost me a few episodes in. I like Donal Logue but this show was pretty awkward. I may revisit it later. Constantine, Season 1 - Lose me a couple episodes in, cause it was crappy. I'm told that it got much better though, so I may revisit it. They're still pronouncing Constantine's name wrong. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Season 2 - Sooooo much better than Season 1, although it's feeling a bit overstuffed at the moment. Agent Carter, Season 1 - I'm waiting for a chance to binge-watch this. Daredevil, Season 1 - A few episodes in, exceeding expectations so far. It's in the Marvel Universe, but it really is a different tone. Not the glib antics of the films and the other shows, it's pretty well succeeded at capturing the noir sensibilities. Mostly really good casting, mostly really good choreography, and damn but do they take some charismatic characters and grind them down. iZombie, Season 1 - Enjoying it so far. Lighter than the others. Unusually, I'm enjoying the case-of-the-week aspect more than the bigger arc. Powers, Season 1 - A couple episodes in, it's not so good. Sharlto Copley is wasted -- the guy's great at crazy, but he's basically playing a sad sack. And some of the effects are a bit too sanitary. And it's a bit too case-of-the-week. But some of the supporting cast is good and playing against type - Eddie Izzard, Olesya Rulin - and Michelle Forbes has still got it. Jesus. Did I miss any?
