Do any of the Saul Bass main titles that were used as album covers count? Because there must be a few dozen of those. Once again, I think there is confusion over logos and main titles. So.....let's see..... here are a few of the earlier Saul Bass main titles..... ANATOMY OF A MURDER.....doesn't count THE BIG COUNTRY.....doesn't count THE BIG KNIFE.....doesn't count BONJOUR TRISTESSE.....doesn't count THE CARDINAL.....doesn't count CARMEN JONES.....doesn't count EXODUS.....doesn't count GRAND PRIX......doesn't count IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD.....doesn't count THE MAN WITH A GOLDEN ARM.....doesn't count NINE HOURS TO RAMA.....doesn't count NORTH BY NORTHWEST.....doesn't count NOT WITH MY WIFE, YOU DON'T.....doesn't count THE PRIDE AND THE PASSION.....doesn't count PSYCHO.....doesn't count THE RACERS......doesn't count SAINT JOAN.....doesn't count SECONDS.....doesn't count THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH.....doesn't count SOMETHING WILD.....doesn't count SPARTACUS.....doesn't count STORM CENTER......doesn't count VERTIGO.....doesn't count THE VICTORS.....doesn't count WALK ON THE WILD SIDE.....doesn't count Offhand, I can't think of any Saul Bass Main Title which was used as an Album cover...... Print Media Logo designs he created, yes. Here's an easy way to find out if each suggestion qualifies: Go to the main title of any film. Make a "frame grab" or " frame capture" of the title card. If that frame has been used exactly as an album cover, then it qualifies for Steve H's thread. (.....and keep in mind: Movie Frames are rectangular, Album Covers are square. )
