X-MEN: APOCALYPSE---20th Century Fox wants Tom Hardy for the role of Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur). BIRDMAN---photo released from the movie starring Michael Keaton as a has-been superhero star who tries to revive his career in a Broadway play. Emma Stone, Edward Norton and Naomi Watts also star. BIG EYES---poster released for the Tim Burton biomovie about artist Margaret Keane whose husband took credit for her popular Big Eye paintings. Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz star. BUS 657---movie underway in which a man and his co-worker rob a casino and take a bus full of hostages to pay for his daughter's medical treatment. Robert De Niro, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Gina Carano star. THE COOK---Eddie Murphy stars in this drama movie in which a dying man hires a chef to cook for his girlfriend and daughter after he dies. Bruce Beresford (DRIVING MISS DAISY) is the director. SYFY---new head Bill McGoldrick said about the channel's future due to cable competition such as GAME OF THRONES and THE WALKING DEAD, "It's a very competitive genre out there, and everyone is doing and launching their own sci-fi and fantasy shows. We have to be seen as the best in understanding of the genre and its audience..."There has been some misconceptions about this channel in the past that we don't care as much as (fans) do, and that we cancel shows too early, and that is just not true, and never really has been true. It's a passionate group of 170 or so people in every department, and these people love this genre and love the shows." HANNIBAL---Tao Okamoto (THE WOLVERINE) will play Hannibal's aunt, Lady Murasaki. The young survivors must fend for themselves after the town is quarantined by the government. MARLEY & ME---NBC sitcom pilot which will be a sequel to the movie that starred Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. The pilot has John and Jenny Grogan and their kids returning to Florida where he resumes his newspaper column where they adopt a stray puppy. MARILYN---Susan Sarandon will play Marilyn Monroe's troubled mother in this Lifetime four-hour miniseries. Also, Lifetime canceled THE LOTTERY. KINGDOM---DirecTV renewed the series for Seasons 2 and 3. MY LITTLE PONY---animated movie underway at Hasbro Studios.
