From Roger:

Coming Oct 28th is a trio of classics from late 40s early 50s from Paramount. Same composer.

The other is an obscure sci-fi film from the mid-90s, featuring lots of brass and synth and cool percussion effects. It's a neat score and I hope folks will give it a chance. Scored by an Intrada regular.

Sounds like Richard Band territory. Robo Warriors? Zarkorr the Invader?

Paramount… late 40's, early 50's… Hmm. Young? Waxman?

My guess for the late 40s & early 50s Paramount scores is: ...... they were all composed by a Golden Age film composer! smile

Robo Warriors sounds about right...
It's either that or Judge Dredd smile

Possibly "Samson and Delilah"?

Or, "Sands of Iwo Jima", "Rio Grande" and one other?

I thought Bruce was intending to release another Victor Young set, hopefully including "Night has a 1000 eyes." Not saying Intrada couldnt release a Young set too...

Don't know if Pino Donaggio counts as an Intrada regular, but I think it would be cool if the sci-fi title turned out to be Oblivion.

Doug Fake is very fond of Hugo Friedhofer.

I wonder if these are 3 of the missing Friedhofer/Paramounts of the late 1940s-early 1950s.....

WILD HARVEST - 1947
SEALED VERDICT - 1948
NO MAN OF HER OWN - 1950
ACE IN THE HOLE - 1951
THUNDER IN THE EAST - 1952

Hmmmmm.....??

I'm bummed that there is no Last Starfighter in this batch. Oh well...maybe early November. Then we're getting close to the Black Friday titles!

I'd be all "jumping jacks" with the illusion of a forthcoming expanded Judge Dredd if it were not for the keywords "obscure" and "Intrada Regular".

However, given that the film was released by Hollywood/Disney, an expanded Dredd would put itself in the Intrada monopoly. So if not next week, eventually.

"Sands Of Iwo Jima" and "Rio Grande" are Republic films (but are owned by Paramount).

So it could also feature Johnny Guitar (hopefully).

By my count, Pino Donaggio has had 6 Intrada releases and Richard Band has had 12, so while Band has the edge both could certainly be considered "regulars." "Robo Warriors" would be an interesting release, and it's one of the few Band scores I'm not familiar with (I believe a suite or cue was on "Up and Down" but I don't remember it, and my copy of that compilation is in storage). It could also be Band's music from the "Josh Kirby... Time Warrior" series. Meanwhile, both of Donaggio's "Oblivion" scores fall into the same category & like the Band scores were for Full Moon productions. I was told by someone, years ago, that Donaggio himself didn't even have copies of his "Oblivion" scores so it'd be a tremendous feat if somebody turned those up. Though it's been nearly twenty years since I saw either of those films, I seem to recall both "Oblivion" scores being fun.

My memory is awful as I get older....does Intrada do Black Friday titles or are you referring to the La-La Land ones?
