FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31

SKULL ISLAND---the script for the movie about King Kong before he was captured and taken to New York is being rewritten by John Gatins (REAL STEEL, FLIGHT). The original script was written by Max Borenstein (GODZILLA). Tom Hiddleston stars.

WONDER WOMAN---reportedly, Warner Bros. is planning a Wonder Woman movie trilogy starring Gal Gadot with the first movie set on Paradise Island in the 1920s with the "warring Amazonian factions vying for control.". A man, not Steve Trevor, appears on the island and asks the Amazons for help. this leads to Wonder Woman being in the US to help the man. The second movie is set in World War II, and the third is set in the present.
Gadot has dropped out of the BEN-HUR remake movie due to a schedule conflict with BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE.

SUPERGIRL---casting for the new CBS series is as follows: "Caucasian females, age 22 to 26, to play 24" for the role of Kara Zor-El or Kara Danvers (a reference to the "Linda Danvers" version of the character no doubt) as she will be called on Earth. It continues, "as the series’ mythology goes, Kara at age 12 was sent from her dying home planet of Krypton to Earth, where she was taken in by the Danvers, a foster family who taught her to be careful with her extraordinary powers. After repressing said skills for more than a decade, Kara is forced to bust out her super moves in public during an unexpected disaster. Energized by her heroism for the first time in her life, she begins embracing her abilities in the name of helping the people of her city, earning herself a super moniker along the way."
A new character is Kara's foster sister Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, who is described as "Kara’s gorgeous, brilliant, science-minded foster sister. Growing up, Alex was partly jealous of her sibling yet also fascinated by her abilities, prompting Alex to learn as much as she could about alien anthropology, sociology and culture. Today, Alex works for a secret government organization and, alongside her heroic sis, will face many challenges, both mundane and super."

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES---photo released shows the Bennet sisters played by Lily Taylor, Bella Heathcote, Ellie Bamber, Millie Brady and Suki Waterhouse.

STEVE JOBS---Seth Rogen and Jessica Chastain are in talks to co-star with Christian Bale in the untitled Steve Jobs biomovie. Rogen would play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

TRUE DETECTIVE---Kelly Reilly (FLIGHT), Abigail Spencer (MAD MEN), Leven Rambin (TWO NIGHT STAND) and Michael Irby (ALMOST HUMAN) will co-star in the series for Season 2.

SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES---the second movie based on the Ray Bradbury novel is underway. Seth Grahame-Smith (ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER) is the director. The script will be written by David Leslie-Johnson (WRATH OF THE TITANS). The original 1983 movie script was written by Bradbury.

ANNIHILATION---movie underway based on the first of the sci fi novel trilogy in which an expedition of four women, an anthroplogist, a psychologist, a surveyor and a biologist seeking her missing husband, travel to the remote Area X where the previous eleven expeditions were ill-fated. Alex Garland (EX MACHINA) is the writer/director.

GLASS CEILING---rumored Spider-Man spin-off movie from Sony Pictures will feature female characters such as Spider-Girl, Spider-Woman, The Black Cat, Silver Sable, Silk and Firestar.

THE CROW---creator James O'Barr commented on the reboot movie, "[W]e're not remaking the movie. We're readapting the book. My metaphor is that there is a Bela Lugosi 'Dracula' and there's a Francis Ford Coppola 'Dracula'. They use the same material, but you still got two entirely different films.
This one's going to be closer to 'Taxi Driver' or a John Woo film, and I think there's room for both of them. Part of the appeal of 'The Crow' comics, after all, is that they can tell very different stories.
If you read the comic, Eric and Shelley never have their last names revealed. Hopefully, this is one area the new movie being more faithful to the comic will come into play, and Eric won't be going by Eric Draven in the new film.
Luke Evans may play Eric, but Brandon Lee will forever be Eric Draven... [N]o one understands that fear more than me. Brandon Lee was a friend and I'd never do anything to hurt his legacy."

DOCTOR WHO---the BBC announced that the season finale will be 60 minutes instead of the normal 45 minutes.

SPECIAL CORRESPONDENTS---remake of a French comedy movie underway starring Eric Bana as a struggling radio correspondent who sends out fake reports on the Iraq War from a restaurant in Manhattan. Ricky Gervais is the co-star/writer/director/producer.

A PRAYER BEFORE DAWN---Charlie Hunnam (SONS OF ANARCHY) stars in this movie based on the true story of Billy Moore, an amateur boxer and drug dealer who spent two years in Thailand's brutal "Bangkok Hilton" prison which changed his life's direction.

31---Rob Zombie horror movie in which five carnival workers are kidnapped before Halloween and held in a secret compound called Murder World where they have 12 hours to survive being hunted down by killer clowns.

A MAN IN THE DARK---horror movie underway about three teen robbers who pull a final big heist by breaking into the house of a reclusive blind millionaire, only to discover the hunters are now the hunted. Fede Alvarez (EVIL DEAD) is the director.

THREE GENERATIONS---Elle Fanning, Naomi Watts and Susan Sarandon star in this movie about a teenage transsexual girl who is transitioning to become a boy, her mother and her lesbian grandmother.

So much bad news in that post, but the worst may be this. Isn't there some kind of law that would stop Zombie from directing or even writing any more movies?

Killer Clowns ?

This is as bad, or worse, than Eli Roth movie news.

Rob f*cking Zombie. Killer f*cking clowns.

Ugh.
