Does anyone know why there is no CD of original music from this series. The 45 is a killer!

Perhaps Ford Thaxton could chime in.

I would pick up a CD set of POLICE WOMAN
scores in less than a second...:-)

The same question could be asked of Hawaii Five O, The Streets of San Francisco... etc etc. I'd imagine that these are big projects, but it would be nice for something to get a release, I must say.

You can add countless series to that list. Columbo, Mannix, Mission: Impossible, SMDM, Wild Wild West, the list goes on.
Yes, something at all would be nice.

I hear you. When it comes to Universal series, the best kind in my opinion, Intrada has thus far focused on cult favorites in sci-fi and fantasy. I think it is particularly time for them to move on to the 60s and 70s (and some 80s) sounds of crime and action dramas.

Well, we know "Hawaii 5-0" is coming, so cross that off the wish-list; May 13, 2014:
We've had elements from all of Bruce Broughton's Hawaii Five-O scores transferred for some time. They are superb. Licensing is currently on hold pending CBS concerns with their new series. As soon as they sort it out, I imagine you'll see some albums happening.

I suspect it's simply that no label has looked into PW; we barely got anything from "Police Story".

We have a boat load of great scores from the studios that would be fantastic to have released, obscure and famous. At this point all we pretty much in the way is rights issues and tapes issues.

It certainly would be crazy not to include any Morton Stevens, Richard Shores or Don Ray material on a CD set - it just plain would not be complete and would be a MAJOR disappointment...

I d love to see a CD release!! But I think it will never happen.!! I asked about it to Mark Banning during 5FFM last August and He told me there were not plans but He maybe would release another Mort Stevens CD. It s a pity.!! "Police Woman " is very underrated : as a series and musically. So many talent got involved on that production.!!

Too bad about POLICE WOMAN...I think at this point, I'd be happy to just get the rest of the shows on DVD. I still say Mort's best PW score was his last for the series, "Merry Christmas, Waldo" (1977), a truly WONDERFUL score full of classic Stevens.

Anyway, I would be very happy to get something else on CD by Mort from BSX - I'm ready!:-)

I will buy this only if it comes with a poster of Royster and Styles.
