Another film with multiple versions. Paramount first filmed the Percival Christopher Wren novel in 1926, under the novel's title, starring Ronald Colman and Neil Hamilton, and directed by Herbert Brenon. Then came Paramount's 1939 version, directed by William Wellman. In 1966, Universal filmed another version using the same title, directed by Douglas Hayes and starring Guy Stockwell and Telly Savalas. And 1977, Universal filmed a satirical version starring Marty Feldman and Michael York, directed by Feldman.

I remember the Guy Stockwell version co-starring Doug McClure.

Gary Cooper always had such nice mannerisms .
Marty Feldman's version was #9 if am correct.

hey i got one!! yeah. i geste it!!
i loved the stan and ollie spoof - especially when they started laying tacks down to pierce the arab tootsies!!
cracked me up.
