Later this month we will release our 6th CD of which we are very proud - primarily because it is, in our opinion, one of the most hauntingly beautiful scores ever written for a television movie.
While no one guessed the title on our Facebook-page yet, we give it another try:
- Non-American composer - European TV-production - Mid 2000s - Based on a series of well-known children's books
What children's books are popular? Will I show my age if I suggest Moomins, Hardy Boys or The Dark is Rising? But I have no idea what books have been adapted to European TV lately!
- not NARNIA and not NANNY MCPHEE - the book was already adapted for the big screen in the early 60s by Disney - composer won many BAFTA awards but is now concentrating on concert works - premiere release - the Main Titles was released as a re-recording a few years earlier on a sampler dedicated to the composer

Sounds like it will be POLLYANNA by my friend Christopher Gunning ?

I absolutely adore this score! There's a delightful wistfulness to the music that cannot fail to appeal to Delerue and Goldsmith fans alike. Fortunately, its bucolic charm carefully eschews the lachrymal sentimentality that's marred many similar soundtracks.
