I couldn't find a thread discussing this score, so I thought I'd start one.
Here's my review of the score for the critically acclaimed Stephen Hawking biopic THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING, by Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson. Add this one to your Best Score Oscar pool!
Well there really is some kind of disconnect between me and this board. No replys to this thread?
I just saw the movie, I adored it. Jones was incredible as always, my favorite actress now a days and Eddie Redmayne was wonderful as well. I've seen Prisoners but didn't notice the music much. In this picture the music is wonderful, it adds so much to the film. When I was done with the movie I realized some of the music brought me memories of Kaczmarek's Finding Neverland (another score I love). I had read the review at moviemusicuk when it was written and just read it again after seeing the movie and I do agree with it. It's my favorite score of the year (I still haven't seen The Imitation Game or Unbreakable).
It's wonderful to see music like this in a picture like this.
I just saw the movie and loved it. The music was one of those that I think I would like more on repeated listens. I saw The Impossible and thought the same thing and now I think it is one of the best scores of that year. It is possible I may feel the same about TTOE.
