WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26

BLADE RUNNER 2---Ridley Scott said he will not direct the sequel and said about Harrison Ford returning as Rick Deckard, "Harrison is very much part of this one. But it’s really about finding him. He comes in in the third act.”

THE WALKING DEAD---Robert Kirkman said he has regrets about the series, "If I had to do it again, I wouldn't have done the CDC episode [at the end of Season 1]".
The finale had CDC Dr. Edwin Jenner (Noah Emmerich) revealing that everyone is already infected with the zombie virus which Kirkman has second thoughts about, "It possibly gave away too much information and was such a big change very early on in the series. I feel like there might have been a better way to wrap up the first season. It ended up being a fun episode. I love the character of Dr. Jenner and thought Noah did an amazing job. But there were things in that episode that I think seem very much not of The Walking Dead world."
He added about the reference to French scientists possibly having a potential cure: "I probably would have changed that stuff. I've been careful in the comic series to not say what's happening in other parts of the world. It's something that's going to be fun to explore in the spinoff series. But the fact that France is mentioned in that episode and other things like that, I probably would have steered away from that stuff if I had to do it all over again."

THE HUNGER GAMES---director Francis Lawrence said a fifth movie in the franchise is being discussed, "Everybody is thinking about it, and talking about it." He added, "I just think that one has to go into that world carefully. Because I think a huge part of what makes the stories great is that it was really built on this idea of the consequence of war, and you have an amazing character like Katniss at the center of it. And so to just say, 'Oh, we're still in the Hunger Games world,' I think is really risky, and you need to make sure that you have something new to say, and either new characters need to be created that are just as compelling as Katniss."

SHERLOCK---BBC One released a photo for the "Sherlock Special" which will premiere in late 2015 as the Christmas special.

STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII---Oscar-winning production designer Rick Heinrichs (SLEEPY HOLLOW, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, FARGO, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER) was signed for the sequel.

PACIFIC RIM 2---Guillermo del Toro commented on the sequel, “It’s a few years after the first one. It’s not an immediate follow-up. It is the world having been freed of Kaiju, what happens to the world after – what happens to the Jaeger technology once the Kaiju are not a threat. It’s quite a jump.”
He added that the Charlie Day and Burn Gorman’s characters are returning in the sequel, and there will be an emphasis on "science", “You’re gonna get a lot of that, but the Kaijus are very different and you’re gonna see a very different type of the robots I think. It’s gonna be quite a different adventure.”

BIG LITTLE LIES---Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon star in this miniseries based on the novel set in Australia in which three mothers of kindergarten students get involved in a murder mystery. David E. Kelley (BOSTON LEGAL) is the writer.

HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2---Sony Pictures Animation sequel underway with Mel Brooks providing the voice of vampire Vlad, the father of Adam Sandler's character. Steve Buscemi and Kevin James co-star.

A retro Sherlock pic looks to be a capital idea! I hope it's a Victorian-set case. Maybe The Blue Carbuncle?

Is it Martin Freeman (?) needs to get an Academy Award for getting those eyes so right... just in that picture.

Get real! Franchises are never ending nowadays. It will be made regardless of it's artistic merit.

Does he also regret every season since? I loved the first season and have been hanging in there against my better judgement since, but boy this show sucks these days.

After the really, really awful and ridiculous super-duper boogeyman The Governor , we get the Mullet Man Eugene who said he had the cure for Walkers, but gee, wow, turns out he was lying...like no one saw that coming the second he opened his idiot mouth - hands down the worst character ever on the show. And now, it does look like internet speculation may be right and they're going to kill off Carol, the only interesting character left soooo, it may just be time to throw in the towel on the whole mess.

It's like a Heroes replay. A good first season, then a steady decay in quality.

And who cares if Mockingjay is the end? We'll just tack on more!
